2017 Legislative Session Gets Underway

Governor Mary Fallin kicked off the 56th Oklahoma Legislature by joining House and Senate members for her annual State of the State address where she outlined her priorities for this session and a proposed budget for FY2018. The following stories recap Fallin’s address and budget proposals.

Legislators filed more than 2,200 bills and joint resolutions for consideration this session. Committee work is underway and will continue for the next several weeks. All bills must be heard in committee by Thursday, March 2.
