As such, we maintain membership in Oklahoma’s only trade association representing government affairs professionals engaged in the state — the Oklahoma Society of Professional Advocates.

Additionally, the we are members of the prestigious Public Affair Council, which was founded by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1954, and is recognized as the leading international association for public affairs professionals.

    • Passed a $17 Million appropriation for renovations and upgrades to the Allen Wright Memorial Library which includes significant infrastructure upgrades to the state archives. (HB1014x)

    • Participated with statewide coalition in establishing the Parental Choice Tax Credit, resulting in the first of its kind refundable tax credit for School Choice funding. (HB1934)

    • Passed reforms to the Oklahoma Emergency Price Stabilization Act which exempted natural gas under the petroleum product exception to the Act in response to Winter Storm Uri. (HB2561

    • Passed legislation creating the Statewide Charter School Board, allowing for direct authorization of charter schools statewide. (SB516)

    • Passed the Large-Scale Economic Activity Development Act (LEAD Act) which provided for $685 Million in payments for the potential location of Panasonic Battery Plant in Oklahoma. (HB4454, HB4455)

    • Passed the Oklahoma Emission Reduction Technology Incentive Act which established a program to aid the Oklahoma oil and gas industry reduce emissions and offset costs due to environmental regulations. (HB3568)

    • Reform the Oklahoma Ad Valorem Tax process as it relates to the use of third party assessors on commercial properties. (HB2627)

    • Passed the Ensuring Access to Medicaid Act implementing a managed care system for Oklahoma Medicaid recipients. (SB1337)

    • Passed the Oklahoma Rural Jobs Act establishing tax credits for investments in rural Oklahoma economic development projects. (HB4085)

    • Created the Oklahoma Redbud Fund which provides financial resources for school districts with zero to no ad valorem. (SB229)

    • Defeated effort to establish compensation parity for Anesthesiologist Assistants and CRNAs. (HB1012)

    • Established a ‘functional obsolescence’ standard for the assessment of ad valorem taxes on commercial properties. (HB2775)

    • Passed a historic increase in the Oklahoma Film Rebate resulting in large scale motion picture productions like Killers of the Flower Moon. (SB608)

    • Passed negotiated language which resulted in the removal of statutory requirement that Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists be supervised by a physician and allow for collaboration. (SB801)

    • Removed requirement that insurers pre-appoint agents before being allowed to write health insurance coverage polices. (SB1642)

    • Passed sweeping regulation of Certified Professional Midwives and Certified Midwives known as Shepard’s Law, including first of their kind licensure and formulary access for licensees. (SB1823)

    • Created sales tax exemption for the University Hospital Authority Trust. (SB1703)

    • Amended Governors Executive Order relating to COVID-19 to include selected occupations as critical infrastructure.

    • Secured Medicaid ‘Opt-Out’ letter from Governor J. Kevin Stitt removing the requirement of physician supervision of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists for Medicaid reimbursement.

    • Preemption of taxation and regulation of auxiliary containers and plastic bags. (SB1001 - 2019)

    • Passed the most significant alcohol reform legislation since 1959. (SJR68, SB383 - 2016) (SB211, SB297, SB411, and SB646 - 2017)

    • Passed legislation allowing movie theaters to sell alcoholic beverages. (HB2186 - 2017)

    • Created a pilot program that allows private businesses to train and certify their own CDL Drivers. (SB411 - 2015)
